Okay, my schedule is flowing more smoothly, and while I wasn't paying attention in lecture today (xD) I was thinking of ways to get the ball rolling around here again. Does anyone have ideas for a start-of-term party or something of the sort? I was thinking of doing a formal ball or masquerade or something interesting like that, but I don't want to be too cliche. Perhaps a theme? Either way, I would like to start it this weekend :]
If anyone has any suggestions and opinions, post here!

@ Alice: OOH. Sadie Hawkins would be fun :0
...and at current moment, that's what I'd like to settle on xD
Any more suggestions? It doesn't have to be about a dance, it can be about anything that we can get everyone to participate in...

. . . . I really can't say what would be better, seeing how I avoid parties IRL . . ^^; I dont' like big crowds.

How about we skip the dance because I'm sure we've all done a gazillion of those in rps and have a upperclassmen slumber party in the great hall? The teachers could magically convert the great hall into a forest or something, maybe a winter wonder land or something less cold, make it a learning experience somehow and then have all the students chillax afterward, say with a bit of refreshments, a bit of gossip, bonding, trickery, fun. Or maybe an overnight trip of some sort. Everyone could partner up and explore new lands somewhere for a day, lodge in some magical place for the night and then return to Hogwarts the next morning. Clarissa mentioned a charm's assignment. Maybe all upperclassmen have to participate. If not I guess I'm up for another dance... Doesn't matter much to me.

Even if we've all done the RP dances, it's still a good idea for others and plot development.
An assigned trip is interesting, and so is the Great Hall slumber party idea. Has to be regulated though - the teachers definitely won't want too much tom-foolery
Added with the Sadie Hawkins Masque, I actually think we should just do all of these ideas as events for the start of term.

Great idea(s), Sirius. Those are definitely different takes off from the normal dance that goes on a lot in RP. And that also have the potential for some good posting too. -ponders- If we do the Charms assignment thing - could possibly be researching the history of a particular Charm/Potion/etc by doing actual hands-on source study type stuff (especially since most of our characters seem to be 7th years, where they would be getting ready to take jobs and such). So potential for 'career education' or whatever the professors might like to think up to call the assigned group trip thing. -shrug- Just throwing out ideas.

I love the idea of an upperclassman slumber party, though a Sandie Hawkin's dance would be fun as well. Either way, I'm still here and 100% willing to post anywhere that I can get it.

Oooo, slumber party! A great opportunity for Regulus to get his freak on. *wink* .... Kidding. Though it is a great idea. Dance, slumber party, either way, Regulus will have fun.
