These are the student canon characters for the site. You are not required to play a canon character - you may opt to play an original instead if you so desire. They are all essential to the storyline in their own ways, but characters that have their name in bold and have an asterisk next to their name are extremely important, and will also not be easy to gain approval on.
You may reserve a character, but you must be already registered with full intent to make an application and play. The character will be reserved for 3 days at most, and if nothing is posted/completed by you or you have not talked to an admin for an extension, the character is free for someone else to reserve once more. Please remember that by taking on a canon character, you are encouraged to be moderately active in posting.
6/20/07 - Bear in mind that if you're going to choose a main canon character (ie. James Potter, Severus Snape, etc.) the application review will be more critical - you will have to show us that there is no doubt that you should be accepted to play them. They are vital to our storyline, so if you're not going to be active or detailed paragraphs for a post, I advise you to choose someone else.
4/20/08 - An asterisk (*) marks and reinforces that your application has to be very thorough to gain this character. We will not allow copy-pastes of information off Wikipedia or another source - reword them to your own style.
4.28.08 - If you have not reserved the character you plan to apply for, there is no guarantee that you will get accepted. Well, there isn't a guarantee anyway, but what I mean is that multiple applications can go in for a character and we don't have to give you precedence. In this case, we will choose the applicant that we feel best suits the character they are choosing, as well as someone who has completed an appropriate and thorough application.
